2023 JUNOS AWARDS
In March 2023, the JUNO Awards came back to Edmonton for the first time in nearly two decades. Explore Edmonton was tasked with amplifying the event in the Edmonton area, to engage the community and welcome Canada’s top musical talents.
Explore Edmonton sought out Vignettes™ services to execute a city-wide brand activation strategy that would increase overall awareness of what was happening in the city during the promotional period prior to the JUNO Awards ceremony.



CLICQUOT IN THE SNOW: APRÈS SKI CHALET
This was Veuve Clicquot’s largest campaign of 2023, taking place at the prestigious Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Vignettes’ activation aimed to de-seasonalize champagne from New Years-bound celebrations and extend its product life into new season offerings at the Fairmont. Our team was tasked with designing, custom fabricating, and staging a cozy après ski chalet that embraced the casual warmth after a long day on the slopes.
From new flooring features to custom built furnishings that were sprinkled with ‘objets de chine’, our agency elevated the hotel’s static Sun Room into an unexpected and novel experience for visitors of the Fairmont.









RIVER RUN: SUMMER SPORTS AND CULTURE ACTIVATIONS
With two major summer sporting events coming to our winter city (FIBA 3x3 and Volleyball World), we wanted to make a splash and generate organic buzz. We created two massive 20’ inflatable balls to float down the North Saskatchewan River and caught the eyes along the busy riverbanks. In a series of reels, we captured the delight and surprise of Edmontonians as they enjoyed their summer evening.

STICKER BY NUMBER: COMMUNITY MURAL
We collaborated with the artist John ‘JCat’ Cardinal to transform his piece into an interactive mural experience. The youth participants of Soaring, an Indigenous youth empowerment gathering, were provided a sheet of stickers that they could apply to the 4’ x 16’ mural board and engage in a collective re-creation of the young artists work. This project was also a collaboration with Explore Edmonton for Indspire.
